Hey there! I am Caroline, the face behind Sassy Cat Pottery! I am a full-time mom and part-time potter trying to make pottery into a career! My interest in pottery started in high school when my mother and I took a class at our local YWCA. I discovered the relic of the kick-wheel and fell in love with throwing pottery.
Sassy Cat Pottery was built on the belief that there is beauty in functionality. Pottery was intended for the home and is so much more versatile than people realize. I want to incorporate pottery into every room in your home, which is why I make functional handmade pottery which is both microwave and dishwasher safe. And yes, I do have a Sassy Cat of my own and her name is Windy!

Windy – The Muse Behind the Wheel
“With our first big show coming up, I wanted to be sure that Sassy Cat Pottery was on a road to success. The first step to looking professional was to have a logo so that we could be easily recognized. My dad suggested the basic design of a cat curled around a steaming hot mug. I had an artist friend, Sara Aronowitz, design the logo using my cat Windy as a model (see picture above). Windy was quite perturbed that I had put a cold mug on her belly while she was sleeping, but it was her face that led to the name Sassy Cat Pottery!”
